We are P-IE (Planit Intelligent Environments), a design practice with a passion for outside spaces and the part they play in our communities. For over 15 years we’ve been turning spaces between buildings into places for people to explore, engage with and most importantly, enjoy. From the UK’s largest regeneration projects to bespoke single site commissions, our team of Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Architectural Visualisers, 3D Animators and Graphic Designers are committed to design quality in the built environment – whatever the scale, whatever the challenge.

London WIP (Work in Progress)
A monograph of projects handled by our London office showcasing masterplanning, landscaping and urban space creation in a wide range of environments. Divided into ‘Ideas’, ‘Detail’ and ‘Collaboration’ sections, it tracks the course of our involvement in seven schemes across the capital and the South East.

Outside/Scale
The exploration of scale runs throughout our work. This collection of large-scale projects looks at bid ideas and big sites but also considers the intricacies associated with complex schemes. It also looks at the influence of another form of scale – time-scale, which creates an ever-changing environment.

Liverpool Strategic Investment Framework
The blueprint for Liverpool’s development over the next decade and beyond. The framework sets out a dynamic vision for the city centre that guides investment and lays the foundations for the next wave of ‘big ideas’. Planit-IE worked in collaboration with Deloitte, Liverpool Vision and the Mayor to develop proposals for seven transformational initiatives.

Liverpool: World Heritage City
In 2004 Liverpool won the global accolade of World Heritage Site status for its rich inheritance of nineteenth and early twentieth century buildings, as well as its pivotal role in world history. This Planit designed book gives a valuable insight into the history and buildings that led to its designation, as well as the developments that have helped the city reinvent itself in recent years.

Planit-IE Green Book
Our approach to landscaping and masterplanning is explained in this brief overview of our design philosophy and practice. Read how, by understanding patterns, connections and uses within a space, we create solutions that support long-term physical and social transformation rather than short-term trends and fashions.

Virtual Planit
A collection of CGI visualisation projects reflecting the diverse skills of our talented in-house team. All experts in virtual environments, they have been producing CGIs and animations since 2000 and this volume brings together some of the most notable examples of their work at the intersection of art, craft and technology.

Manchester WIP (Work in Progress)
Our second monograph was produced to accompany our Work in Progress exhibition of 2010 – a photographic record of projects chosen to demonstrate our capabilities over a wide range of scales and sectors. This revised edition brings up to date many of the featured projects which have been rapidly progressing over the last few months.

10 + 2
2010 marked our twelfth year in business and saw us move into a new design studio in South Manchester. To mark this watershed year, we published 10+2; a ‘story so far’ monograph showcasing the 12 projects that best typify the creativity, energy and philosophy of our company from birth to its current position as a leading landscaping and design practice.
