We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed to work alongside HOK and AHR Architects, on the new £200m regional arena, conference and exhibition centre at Gateshead Quays. As a Design Team, we will be developing plans for the 10-acre quays site, which occupies a prime location opposite the Gateshead Millennium Bridge; between Sage Gateshead, the iconic building and concert venue by Foster and Partners and the BALTIC, an historic former industrial, landmark building, now an internationally renowned Centre for Contemporary Art.
Birmingham Conservatoire’s new state-of-the-art home, opened today. The £57 million purpose-built music college provides five new public performance spaces, including a 500-seat concert hall, a 150-seat recital hall and a 100-seat organ studio as well as the East Side Jazz Club. It is the first to be constructed in the UK since 1987 and is the only one in the country specifically designed to cater for the demands of the digital age.
