Wanting to complement experiences offered to students at University with insights into the industry, we threw open our studios, and invited them in. This was the opportunity for Landscape Architects and Planners, Urban Designers and Visualisers from across the UK to learn about professional life, meet our team and take a look at our work in practice.

Studio Re-inhabitation

Having worked from home for an extended period, we have really come to appreciate the advantages of working within a collaborative design studio. Some aspects are practical, such the ability to print, sketch at scale, scan and take advantage of higher internet speeds and server access, but others are more experiential. Whilst we have found many new ways to work, collaborating in the same space helps nurture a collective and interdisciplinary approach to design, and supports the sharing of knowledge, which is of particular benefit to less experienced team members.READ MORE

Stamford Quarter – a new liveable neighbourhood for Altrincham

We are delighted to announce our involvement in the regeneration of Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter. Being based in Altrincham and having played our part in the transformation of the town centre public realm over the past decade it’s clearly a project that is very close to our hearts.

Embassy Village – A ‘Project of Pride’

We are delighted to be supporting work by the charity Embassy, to help address homelessness in central Manchester. Embassy has adopted a pioneering approach to design a self-contained village. They plan to create 40 high quality modular homes from repurposed shipping containers, to deliver a safe and welcoming community for homeless and vulnerable men. This will provide them with their own accommodation and a supportive environment, to help remove the significant barriers that many will face during the transition from life on the streets to gaining that stable foothold in our communities.

Camley Street Regeneration

We are delighted to announce that Planit-IE is part of the FCBStudios-led team that has won the Camden Council competition for Camley Street Regeneration. Planit-IE worked alongside Architecture 00, Studio Woodroffe Papa, Buro Happold and CDRM Services to support the FCBStudios entry to secure the £136 million regeneration of two light industrial parks just north of King’s Cross.
