Caroline Lord

Caroline joined our Altrincham Studio as an intern from the University of Copenhagen. After graduating she began working full time before migrating down to our London Studio in February 2014.

Alongside working at Planit, Caroline has designed and been involved in the build of ‘Industrial Transitions’; a Show Garden at the 2014 RHS Tatton Flower Show, which was awarded both Gold and Best in Show medals.

Caroline has worked on several smaller private garden projects and is currently gaining experience in the education sector, through design to delivery on site for a through school in Harrow, North London.

Fiona Brindley

Fiona joined the Planit Group in 2010 and is the group’s accounts contact while also providing administrative support.

Georgina Baines

Georgina’s experience in the landscape design and build field brings valuable knowledge of both the creative and construction processes, together with an in depth knowledge of budgets and product selection. This experience enables Planit to provide experienced Landscape Architectural services from inception to completion, ensuring that the design ethos is translated effectively onto the ground whilst providing a continuity of approach throughout the project. She has experience in all sectors of the construction industry and is currently overseeing projects in the fields of education, sports stadia, religion, park restoration and social housing renewal and redevelopment.

Georgina has a particular interest in planting design and the ongoing establishment and maintenance of soft landscape elements. Unlike the hard environment it is these elements that evolve over time to reveal a mature landscape, reflecting the original design intent.

Johannes Dobrat

Johannes joined Planit in 2010 having previously worked at Camlin Lonsdale in Marsden and in Irene Lohaus Peter Carl in Hanover. He has over 10 years of experience in landscape design in England and Germany – primarily public realm and regeneration projects. Johannes is particularly accomplished in detail design and is currently working towards his chartership.

James King

Following studying and working in private garden design and construction, James progressed into Landscape Architecture and has spent over eight years working as a Landscape Architect on a wide range of projects from inception through to completion, becoming a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute in May 2010.

James has a wealth of experience at dealing with detailed design on projects of this scale and has successfully delivered schemes across the capital, as well as internationally. James brings to the table a knowledge of large scale residential projects and is particularly adept at teasing out the finer points of detail design that often get missed in the fast paced planning application procedures that often accompany projects of this nature.

Jotaro Tokunaga

Jo joined our Altrincham studio in 2013 after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a MLA. Throughout his year in practice and post-graduation he spent time travelling North America, Europe and Japan, soaking a range of built projects and cultural landscapes, which informs his problem solving and design approach to unique sites, detailing and contemporary practice.

His competition entries and student work has been published in the Journal of the Landscape Institute and he received the national Landscape Institute student award in 2011. His interests lie in graphical representation and the arc between the geographical sublimities of a powerful site and the sociological opportunities present in restorative and responsible placemaking.

At Planit Jo has become a valued member of the team and provides an informed approach to landscape architecture, providing the studios with a wealth of project examples and case studies. He utilizes this knowledge through his work which includes a number of key sports, leisure and challenging public realm projects.

John Willerton

John is a Principal Landscape Architect, with over 15 years experience in the profession and a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. He plays a key role in the Urban Design and Masterplanning projects within the Planit team, with a range of skills that allow him to work at both strategic and detailed design levels. He has a wealth of project experience in educational campus design, sports facilities and residential design, and his current project work is focused on master planning of large scale residential and recreational schemes across the UK, including delivery of the worlds first WaveGarden© (artificial surfing facility) located in Dolgarrog, Wales.
