Elizabeth Hunger


Liz has around 10 years experience in both the private and public sector, working across a range of disciplines including Planning, Landscape, Transport and Regeneration. With a background in Transport Planning, Liz is well placed to coordinate a range of Urban Design projects including public realm and masterplanning.

Since starting at Planit-IE, Liz has been involved in a number of mixed use and residential masterplanning projects. She also has expertise in strategic urban regeneration and has played a significant role in various public realm projects and the production of planning guidance.

Luke Whitaker

Luke joined our London Studio after completing a three month internship in North America, gaining valuable experience in both large scale master planning and smaller scale landscape design. Graduating from Writtle College with a First Class BSc Honours degree Luke has developed strong skills in both conceptual design and graphic representation. With a background in landscape construction underpinning his design process, Luke can question conventional responses to landscape architectural problems whilst ensuring a practical and deliverable solution is met.


Marie Park

Marie’s background entails working on multi-scaled projects in the fields of Urban Design and Master Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Architecture. Marie brings to the table her interdisciplinary skillset and international experiences, working on a diverse range of projects based in Manchester, London, New York, Philadephia, and Seoul.

Marie is involved in a number of Urban Design projects, both within private and public development sectors. She has collaborated on key vision and master planning documents from concept to delivery stages. Whether at the detailed scale of architecture or the comparatively larger scale of master planning, Marie aspires to create meaningful places that encourage social interaction and inspire people.


Matthew Stirton

Matt joined Planit in 2009 after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with distinction earlier that year. He has since developed into an important member of the team working on a range of education and large scale leisure sector projects. Matt’s fine art background provides a creative and conceptual element to his approach, which he combines with a strong understanding of construction and eye for detailed design.


Matthew Warner

Matthew became our Practice Manager having previously worked as a Landscape Architect in our Manchester studio. His main responsibilities are preparing our major bids, as well as managing project finances and staff resourcing. Taking on an all encompassing role, he has added value to our business by developing the way we run our projects from start to finish, from small studio based interventions to the practice achieving ISO9001 status.

Matthew is an accomplished Landscape Architect, having worked on some of the practice’s most important projects, however now he strives to develop our position as one of the best design studios in the country by working with the Senior Management Team and individual Project Managers to develop working methods and processes that ensure the best quality of design at all stages of the project.


Paul Finch

Paul is a 3D artist who contributes to the creation of high end visualisations for print media and animations using 3D Studio Max. Initially joining Virtual Planit as a freelance artist in September of 2012, he became a permanent member of the team in January 2013. Paul is an experienced technical and architectural 3D ARTIST with strengths in modelling, animation and lighting. With this range of skills he is a valuable member of the team.

Like the rest of the Virtual Planit team he is always looking at ways to expand the Visual side of the business. Learning new packages and plugins such as RAILCLONE, GROWFX and AXYZ ANIMA


Peter Johnson

Peter is a Senior Architectural Visualiser, with over 12 years experience in the profession. As Studio Lead, his role is to guide and control projects from conception to completion. Always looking to incorporate new ideas and technologies with a creative flair and eye for detail. Peter has a wealth of experience covering all sectors of the Architectural Industry, from Airports & Football Stadia to Commercial & Residential Schemes. Peter has a broad skillset but his expertise lies in Lighting, Texturing and Animation.


Pete Nunneley

Pete completed a degree in architecture before deciding to specialise in architectural visualisation. After a successful 6 month freelance contract he joined Virtual Planit full time in June 2013.

Pete has become an integral part of the team he has bought a keen eye for architectural detailing and image composition which has been an essential component in completing a diverse range of visualisation projects, from Racecourses in China to Luxury Office fit-outs in Jersey.

Together with the rest of the team, Pete is keen to develop the abilities of Virtual Planit as a company and has a keen interest in the direction of the industry and how new developments in hardware and software will affect the CGI production process. Whilst he does have an unhealthy addiction to diet coke, he has proved himself to be a reliable, dedicated member of the team.


Pete Robinson

Pete joined our London studio having graduating from the University of Sheffield with distinction, and won the Landscape Institute Yorkshire Branch prize for best portfolio. During his year out, he worked on a variety of public and private projects in both the UK and overseas focusing on detailed design and construction information.


Peter Swift

Pete is Joint Managing Partner at Planit-IE and one of our three founding Directors. He has helped oversee the successful organic growth of the practice and has over twenty years’ management experience in Private Practice. His particular skills lie in the fields of Landscape Planning, large-scale masterplans and Urban Regeneration.

Pete’s primary role is to oversee major projects through the early stages up to the delivery of planning approval and work with our clients and collaborators to promote deliverable yet visionary solutions. He is currently focused on strategic regeneration projects throughout the UK, with a specific focus on sustainable, landscape-led master planning and stadium/ arena projects.

Over the last decade, Pete has established himself as an accomplished landscape and urban design Expert Witness across a wide range of projects, from major housing proposals within the Green belt to complex city-centre regeneration schemes. He has represented both public and private sector clients on call-in; CPO and Strategic Planning Inquiries.

Pete is a member of both the Sheffield City Council and Places Matter! North West Design Review panels, as well as representing Planit on the Landscape Institute Major Practices working group.

Outside of the studio, Pete is inclined to cycle a very long way on his Altrincham-built Starley JKS stainless steel bike.
