Amelia joined Planit-IE in summer 2013 after completing her Masters Degree at the University of Sheffield. She spent her year in practice at Grant Associates where she was involved in a wide range of projects from education and housing to high profile parks and public spaces in the UK and Southeast Asia. Within her work she encourages the use of graphics through from conceptual to detail design, and the integration of ecological processes and water systems into the built environment. She also has a keen interest in the theoretical research within the social aspects of landscape, particularly in human-environment relations and spatial languages. She has a particular interest in planting and strongly believes that well considered planting design defines a successful landscape scheme. Amelia enjoys using different medias of handrawing and painting to capture texture in a landscape as well as photorealistic rendering.
