Following studying and working in private garden design and construction, James progressed into Landscape Architecture and has spent over eight years working as a Landscape Architect on a wide range of projects from inception through to completion, becoming a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute in May 2010.
James has a wealth of experience at dealing with detailed design on projects of this scale and has successfully delivered schemes across the capital, as well as internationally. James brings to the table a knowledge of large scale residential projects and is particularly adept at teasing out the finer points of detail design that often get missed in the fast paced planning application procedures that often accompany projects of this nature.
Whether that be small scale everyday items, or larger objects; and as a Landscape Architect believes “we must champion and become guardians of good quality external spaces – these spaces do not necessarily have to be pristine, beautiful or even expensive, moreover it is about the environment and micro-climate they create for people.”
Si’s particular interest and specialism is in the front-end delivery – the concept through to detail design. He has been involved with numerous public realm schemes and his experience extends across the full scope of works – From generating initial sketch ideas and presenting this media to clients, through to the compilation of production information, to monitoring, coordinating and ensuring smooth progression of works on site.
