Pete is Joint Managing Partner at Planit-IE and one of our three founding Directors. He has helped oversee the successful organic growth of the practice and has over twenty years’ management experience in Private Practice. His particular skills lie in the fields of Landscape Planning, large-scale masterplans and Urban Regeneration.
Pete’s primary role is to oversee major projects through the early stages up to the delivery of planning approval and work with our clients and collaborators to promote deliverable yet visionary solutions. He is currently focused on strategic regeneration projects throughout the UK, with a specific focus on sustainable, landscape-led master planning and stadium/ arena projects.
Over the last decade, Pete has established himself as an accomplished landscape and urban design Expert Witness across a wide range of projects, from major housing proposals within the Green belt to complex city-centre regeneration schemes. He has represented both public and private sector clients on call-in; CPO and Strategic Planning Inquiries.
Pete is a member of both the Sheffield City Council and Places Matter! North West Design Review panels, as well as representing Planit on the Landscape Institute Major Practices working group.
Outside of the studio, Pete is inclined to cycle a very long way on his Altrincham-built Starley JKS stainless steel bike.
