I lead Planit’s Urban Design team and have particular expertise in masterplanning large-scale mixed-use developments, many of which involve sensitive landscape settings and complex issues. I tend to lead the front end of Planit’s Urban Design process overseeing the development of concepts and design codes; liaising with the delivery teams to ensure the overall framework of design principles are ultimately realised through detailed design and construction. I also have experience of developing design guidance and development briefs within town centre locations, and growth strategies as part of large-scale planning related documents.

I lead Planit’s inputs into community engagement, design workshops and inquiry by design exercises, resulting in a number of successful neighbourhood masterplanning exercises, typically involving a large number of stakeholders. In recognition of my expertise the Design Council CABE appointed me as a Built Environment Expert (BEE), as well as acting as a High Street Task Force Expert and sitting on the Places Matter Design Review Panel.
