I am Planit’s Urban Design Studio Director, based in Liverpool, but work across all our studios. With 20 year’s experience, I have developed a deep appreciation for the complexity in designing places, and this understanding shapes my approach to design.

After studying architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture, I decided to explore my developing interest in strategic scale design with a Masters in Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University. Following several years working in practice at architecture studios in London and Manchester, I return to education to undertake a masters of Civic Design (planning) at The University of Liverpool to broaden my knowledge of the UK planning system and the role of designers within it. I returned to work in Urban Design, leading residential-led regeneration masterplans in London and the South-East. Since joining Planit, I have been involved in a wide variety of projects from masterplans and strategic frameworks to town centre visions, landscape and public realm strategies.

Within my Studio Director role, I sit on Planit’s Strategy Board and Environmental Management group, shaping the strategic and regenerative design direction of the business and our work.
