Promotions and Expansion
Planit-IE is delighted to announce Georgina Baines, Jamie Newborn and Kevin Redhead as new Associate Directors; taking an active role in the practice’s future growth and strategic direction.
Baines and Redhead’s promotions reflect their unique and long-term contribution to the business over a combined period of nearly 40 years. Having been integral to the development of the business, our projects and most importantly our people, they provide invaluable support as we embark on our transition to become an Employee Owned practice / company. Georgina will continue to work with the Directors to move forward the Liverpool studio and also explore the setting up of a Charitable Trust, linked with our projects and the communities within which we work. Kevin will take up a more active role across the Greater Manchester region, and continue to grow our wider contribution to Social Value across our projects; building on his experience from the ‘Our Town Hall’ project.
Jamie Newborn joins Planit-IE’s London studio to work alongside Director, James King. His appointment as Associate Director recognises his extensive experience in both the UK and overseas, and his role to push forward the growth and reach of the London studio.
A series of promotions and new appointments accompany the introduction of Associate Directors within the business. Alex Chairetaki, Chris Hall and Helen Buckle have been promoted to Senior Urban Designers. Amelia Tollitt and Johannes Dobrat have become Project Landscape Architects, and Victoria Ellenbogen is now a Landscape Architect.
Dominic Alden, Ashleigh Davis, Christina Goodband and Emma Gray form the Landscape ‘Year Out’ student team. Having completed their studies, Francesca Boldy and Emma Thompson re-join the practice as Graduate Landscape Architects, alongside new recruits Tim Foxford and Julia Torr. The Urban Design team welcomes Graduate Eleanor Orr. Danny Marsh, formerly of IBI, takes up the appointment of Principal Landscape Architect, working with Georgina Baines and Managing Director Pete Swift to establish and expand the recently opened Liverpool Studio.
