Studio Co-ordinator sought to join the Altrincham studio of Planit-IE.

Every business striving to be the best in their field needs the best support team. They may sit in the background, normally away from the limelight, but they ensure it can operate at the highest and most effective levels.

As the first Certified B Corp in our field, we prize our support team as we do our Landscape Architects, Urban Designer, Digital Artists and Creative Engagement colleagues.

We are a purpose-driven business, with our best work and projects ahead of us. We are looking to grow our support team and need someone with passion and drive to help us achieve our ambitious goals over the next five years and beyond. Is that you?

Are you a natural collaborator with a passion for people, place and planet, looking to build or further develop a career in studio support and administration?

This is a role we want to develop with the right person, not simply something to do until the ‘right’ job comes along.

The Role

We are looking for a resourceful and committed Studio Co-ordinator whose attention to detail, tenacity and thoroughness in administration and support matches our reputation for client service and quality of design. The role is incredibly varied, so adaptability and flexibility will be required to fulfil the wide spectrum of requirements, which span hands-on practical tasks through to administrative and management support.

As a Studio Support Administrator, you would be part of a closely knit Support Team, which includes Practice Management, HR, Bid Management, Accounts and Research.

Essential qualities / attributes:

  • Computer literate, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Friendly, helpful and calm under pressure

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent organisational skills and a structured approach
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and bring others on board
  • High level of initiative
  • Ability to seek solutions to problems with tenacity
  • Conscientious, with strong attention to detail

  • Up to £25K per annum depending on experience

Other benefits include:

  • Minimum 22 days holiday plus 3 extra days at Christmas and Bank Holidays
  • Company Pension
  • Flexible and Hybrid Working
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay
  • Free eye tests (for screen work)
  • Ride to Work scheme
  • Support with professional fees, CPD and mentoring
  • Long Service Awards

Please upload an original cover letter, CV and details of your experience (max file size 5mb) to apply.

No postal copies. No agencies. We welcome applications for any future roles that may arise in Greater Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, London and Standish near Stroud.

As a B Corp accredited practice, we are keen to meet people with varied backgrounds. Our view is the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be, and the stronger we will become.

Whilst we appreciate the advantages of working within a collaborative design studio, we also understand the value to our team members of having an effective work life balance. Many of our team members work flexibly in different ways, including reduced hours and we are currently trialling hybrid working. Please talk to us at the interview stage if flexibility is needed.
