Completion of Liverpool Football Club’s expanded Main Stand was marked through an official opening. Planit Partner Lindsay Humblet and Principal Landscape Architect Georgina Baines were honored to attend the event alongside a host of Liverpool Legends, including Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and Ian St John; Owners, Fenway Sport; Manager Jürgen Klopp; and Liverpool’s first elected Mayor, Joe Anderson.
Dramatic changes to the setting of King Georges Hall in Blackburn will soon be made thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) award to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. Significant public realm, and architectural heritage works to Blakey Terrace are poised to proceed following a HLF contribution gained through the programme’s Townscape Heritage Initiative.
