We are an Interdisciplinary Practice not a Multidisciplinary Business.

We have three clearly defined disciplines (Landscape Architecture, Urban Strategy and Design, and Visual Storytelling) and two supporting services (Impact Assessment and Creative Engagement).

There is added value in using as much of ‘us’ as possible; we are not simply selling items off a menu. Through closer collaboration and interdisciplinary working, we each broaden our knowledge and strengthen our abilities. Demonstrable benefits and positive outcomes arise from our ability to merge our disciplines into cohesive solutions. Tackling the challenges of the world ahead can’t be done in silos.

We proactively explore ways in which we can evolve and develop our interdisciplinary offer, through combining teams on projects, cross-discipline design review, and learning and development programmes tailored to stretch and challenge everyone at Planit, whatever their job description.

Landscape Architecture

Our collaborative and sustainable approach to design delivers exemplary landscape and public realm schemes. Schemes that embed themselves within the communities they serve and seek to restore balance between people, place and nature.

Urban Strategy and Design

Our work intersects scales; from city centre strategies and visions, through large residential masterplans, to small site interventions. All are derived through an understanding of context, people, place and potential.

Visual Storytelling

Our work involves creating media, whether it be still or film, to help convey design proposals across built and natural environments. Our CGI's are versatile enough to convey reality, as well as being able to be more conceptual and romantic.

Impact Assessment

Bringing together all of our other disciplines, Planit’s Townscape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments encompasses our interdisciplinary working. Our services extend to both Verified Views and Kinetic Views.

Creative Engagement

Our job is to encourage active citizenship and direct participation with place. We present loose ends, unanswered questions, and unresolved designs for open ended collaboration, allowing opportunity for all citizens to effect change.

Our rcce

We’re an urban and rural design practice, working to benefit
people, places, and the world at large.

Our work stretches from strategy to concept, design through to delivery, and long-term stewardship. We shape places for the common good, creating ideas that bring people together in unexpected ways, and places for a world still here when we’re not. We are not stopping at sustainable, or just simply at having a positive impact - our approach is towards Regenerative Practice.
